Enjoy two extraordinary evenings of live jazz at the FREE-to-the-community Summer Solstice Jazz Festival on June 18-19, 2010 in the heart of downtown East Lansing. The festival is brought to the area by a partnership between the City of East Lansing, Wharton Center for Performing Arts and the MSU College of Music.
This year’s Summer Solstice Jazz Festival will boast a high-caliber ensemble of local and national jazz performers including the Neil Gordon Trio, Etienne Charles, Diego Rivera, The Hot Club of Detroit, Los Gatos, Wessell Anderson, Sunny Wilkinson, Buddy Budson and Ursula Walker, Sean Dobbins Trio, Somi, Ritmo, Rick Roe Trio and Rockelle Whitaker.
Join us for the “Wake Up to Jazz” and help support the 2010 festival. This Louisiana-style brunch will feature the delicacies of East Lansing’s Gumbo and Jazz Restaurant and Rudy Baggs Coffee Company. It will also feature a fabulous musical performance by the MSU Jazz Orchestra I led by Rodney Whitaker. Tickets: $50 (individual), $90 (couple), $325 (table of eight). Download Reservation Form.
